How do I buy tickets to a show?
Advance tickets are available online through TicketWeb. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter and sign up for our newsletter for show announcements. If you have questions regarding previously purchased tickets, please review our refund policy below, and if you have a further inquiry, email jake@promontorychicago.com. If you are having difficulty printing your tickets, no problem. Just bring your ID and confirmation number to box office and we will be able to look up your ticket information. We can also scan tickets from your smartphone.

The box office is open in the music venue from 5pm-10pm Thursday-Saturday and during all shows.

There is a service charge for online sales. At our box office there is no service charge for cash sales and a small credit card fee for debit/credit purchases.
I want to have a party at the Promontory, how does that work?
The Promontory is a great destination for birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations.

After dinner, why not enjoy a show? Checkout our complete concert calendar here. There is an after party after most concerts - look for Promontory After Dark on the calendar. VIP reservations and bottle service are available during Promontory After Dark as well as during many other events - just contact vip@promontorychicago.com to book your table.

The Promontory is also available for private events. Please click on the Private Events tab above to view detailed information about the space. The Promontory's large second floor space is ideal for events such as weddings, galas, and corporate events.

What is the layout of the venue  and are there obstructed views?
Though THE PROMONTORY is a large venue for the South Side, it is also very intimate, with no columns or obstructed views.

For many of our seated shows we have three sections: Cabaret tables ( in front): Guests can choose their table(s) from the chart on our TicketWeb page. Tables seat four (for some events the front row tables seat five), but are close enough that large parties can buy adjacent tables (or single seats at adjacent tables) and still be able to enjoy each other’s company. If all four seats are not purchased, concertgoers may be sharing their table. Prices listed are for individual seats, not the entire table, and we are unable to add any seats in excess to four to any table.

Row Seating (behind the cabaret tables): Tickets are purchased in a specific row, the individual seats in each row are not reserved, and seating is guaranteed.

The Standing Lounge (behind the reserved seats): The area around our beautiful bar offers an excellent view of the performance and does have limited seating (30+ seats, including bar stools, couches, and lounge chairs), but seated guests may have views of the performance obstructed by standing guests.

We use several different configurations for our tables, but the standard cabaret set up and the dance floor set up can be viewed in the diagrams below. Not all shows use these layouts and some do not have reserved seats, so please consult specific show descriptions for more details.

Can I receive a refund for my ticket, or exchange it for a different show or seat?
Ticketweb policy is that all sales are final, unless the event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly changed. You will automatically be notified if this occurs as long as you have provided a valid email address. If you purchased your ticket at the box office and did not leave an email, please contact jake@promontorychicago.com with your inquiry, but unless a show has been cancelled or significantly changed, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges.

If you believe there are extenuating circumstances that merit a refund please call Ticketweb at 866-777-8932.
Is there food and drink for sale?
THE PROMONTORY has a full bar serving an exciting menu of beers, wine, and cocktails, including craft cocktails on draft, many created to compliment the music. While we have not introduced a food menu in the music venue yet, customers can make a reservation at THE PROMONTORY restaurant before, or during, a show, and will be notified via text when the table is ready. Reserved seats in the music venue will be held while dining.
Are you handicap accessible?
THE PROMONTORY is fully handicapped accessible. If you have special needs, please call us ahead of time or send us an e-mail at info@promontorychicago.com.
Is photography allowed?
It is at the discretion of the artist whether photography is allowed during performances. Please inquire about specific shows in advance. Flash photography is not permitted, and we also request that our patrons respect the experience of those around them and do not block anyone’s view or shoot for extended periods of time.
Is there an age limit?
Unless otherwise indicated, our early shows shows are all ages, and our late shows are 17 and up.

Our Promontory After Dark DJ parties are 21 and over, as are select concerts.
How can my band/artist play at the Promontory?

Is there a dress code?
Though our guests our usually stylish, there is no formal dress code.
I am traveling from out of town for a show, where can I stay?
The Promontory has had many patrons and artists lodge at the neighboring Hyatt Place and we have heard nothing but rave reviews.
Is the music venue available for private events?
The Promontory would love to host your next event. For more info, please click on the PRIVATE EVENTS tab at the top of the page for more information.
Can I buy gift cards?
Gift cards are available for purchase in-person by visiting our host stand during normal business hours or online at our SHOP. Gift cards can only be used for food and beverage purchases at this time. They are available in any denomination and can be reloaded as needed.
Do the Promontory have coat check?
For non-seated events the Promontory has a mandatory coat check. The price is $3 per coat. For many seated events we also have coat check.
Where can I park at the Promontory?
The parking lot behind the Promontory is private and must be paid for using the lot's payment booth. Metered street parking is available around the building along with a limited number of free spots. The meters are free after 10 PM.
